    Pros +

    • I love the location and cleanliness.
    • The location is perfect, the staff friendly and the hotel clean.
    • Hotel location near temple area allowed for great sight-seeing. Hotel staff was very friendly and helped with my baggage before check-in and provided me with maps of the area, including places to see and eat.

    Cons -

    • I did book a corner room but did not get one when I checked in.
    • No, just be aware the rooms are small but fine.
    • Yes...too far from train station. And even though I had made the reservation for my family of five in two rooms, well in advance, when I got there, I have to pay for a third room in the last minute for five days. I felt betrayed and disappointed.

Very nice hotel in a great neighborhood. Would definitely stay here again. With 2 kids, 2 parents, and 2 grandparents traveling together, we had 3 rooms next door to each other. We ate breakfast in the hotel and dinners at local restaurants.

Central location, cleaning staff, front desk staff. Very quiet room.

A very nice hotel, better than three star. Super clean and welcoming rooms. Extra nice staff, some with outstanding English. Good amenities, including laundry.

Would like to have specific directions from the nearest metro (Asakusa) to the hotel. It is walkable but was hard to find my bearings upon alighting from the subway stop.

    Friendly and accommodating staff

Rooms are getting smaller. This is ky 3rd time to stay in Richmond Tokyo.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and made fresh each morning. There were nice amenities provided. We had a great view from our room and from a large window at the end of our hall. The location was close to Senso-ji Temple in an atmospheric, lively area.

The wait for coffee was a little long because there was only one coffee maker. I suggest adding one more coffee maker or a coffee carafe.

Very clean, friendly staff, good location

Small rooms but this is quite normal in Japan.

Comfortable beds. Clean room. Spacious. Great view of Sky Tower. Friendly staff.

Would have liked some gluten free bread options.

It is a cozy, clean room for travelers. Walking distance to Asakusa Shine. Very good location!

Room space feels a little bit small. But it’s understandable in big city such as Tokyo.

    7JudyPosted on: 7-8-2025

I loved the area that the Richmond Hotel was located in-right next to Sensoji Temple. In fact, we could see the grounds from our window as well as Tokyo Sky Tree. Uniqlo is, also, right next to the hotel so early morning shopping.

This was partly my fault, I did not realize the size of the room would be too small for a family of four with two teens. The beds in the picture looked larger than they actually were. But, made it work for one night. Late arrival from Narita so it was ok.

We love the Richmond hotels in Asakusa. Great location for shopping and catching various trains. Good selection of restaurants. I appreciate the laundry services available on site.

    8CelisePosted on: 6-11-2025

The location was fantastic. It is only a couple of minutes to walk to the temple, and it was right next to a number of restaurants, as well as a Don Quijote. The train station was also very close by. The staff were helpful, and there were plenty of toiletry amenities available if needed. The coffee packets provided were our favorite of our two-week trp to Japan. They tasted the most like coffee from our American diner style restaurants.

Great location, friendly staff, clean hotel and great breakfast. Thank you!

I had a pleasant experience at this hotel. It was inexpensive, yet surprisingly comfortable. The room was clean and well-maintained, and the bed was cozy—perfect for a good night’s sleep. The staff were friendly and check-in was quick and easy. Overall, it offered great value for the price. I would definitely stay here again!

Very close to shopping and attractions. Great night life in the area.

I had to use google translate with some staff. However they were very friendly and helpful.
